Lindsey's Story
I was born and raised in Maryland; I’ve called the Potomac area home for my entire life. I grew up in a family that didn’t have a lot of money. We were hard-working, honest, and humble people.
After finishing high school, I immediately had to go to work, not least because I had a newborn baby to care for. This wasn’t an easy scenario by any means. After trying a few jobs, I finally found a role that I really enjoyed, providing care at a local dental practice. That’s how I met my husband Mike, a dentist. He was incredibly smart, and together we developed a number of hopes and dreams that we desperately wanted to come true.
We started our adventure together by buying our first dental practice in northern Maryland. Around five years later we realized that we wanted to be closer to home, so we searched for our next endeavor, selling one practice and founding another one in the D.C. area. We felt like we had found a home, and the people/team at this practice became our family.
We started buying dental practices, wanting to change people’s lives by creating a healthy, fun, positive work environment. We bought our third practice and had two more lined up when, abruptly, my husband Mike passed away. I was devastated, having lost my husband, my best friend, and my business partner all at once. My world had changed forever in one day.
When the world was falling apart around me and I had no idea what to do, where to go and how to get there, I just kept pushing. I was surrounded by good friends and family who helped me pick up the pieces, and I was bolstered by my faith in God.
While running three dental practices and planning a funeral, I decided that giving up and
wallowing in despair simply wasn’t an option. I managed to sell those practices, hoping for a clean slate and a chance to start all over. In the process of selling those practices I discovered that I had a passion for helping dentists through practice transitions.

involved. I know how that feels based on my own experience, and what goes along with it. I’m thrilled to walk that path with you as you consider your next move as a dental practice owner.
